Moving on…
Found some small treasures at House of Poe! Nothing rare, but I was very pleased to come across this Weird Tales magazine compilation. This vendor’s room is full of horror memorabilia, dark comics, and paranormal related stuff! I always make a beeline to it.
There were also some “alternative” type of comic books. My favourite kind. I probably already have this issue of Sandman in one of the volumes. Even so, I couldn’t pass it up. The Strange Case of Mr. Hyde isn’t one I’ve seen or read, but I am a fan of Stevenson’s novella which obviously inspired it. Couldn’t pass that up either!
That room has many more treasures to be found. I already have a list of things I want from it. Anticipating payday…
Not at all spooky-related, but I also found this thing:
I said to the store owner “looks like a Lite Brite.”
It IS a Lite Brite. Five bucks. Owner said the guy who brought it there said it’s the ugliest lamp he’s ever seen! Lol. One man’s trash, I guess!
It needs a good cleaning.
Here it is turned on.
Barely looks dark but you can tell it’s on.
I loved my Lite Brite as a kid and got a strong nostalgic feeling from this little lamp. I want to meet the mad scientist that created this magnificent monstrosity to see what other Franken-toys they have stitched together.
…Or not.
